Terms of Service

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of the Harbor Discord bot ("Harbor", "the Service"), operated for use in Discord servers, including servers running ER:LC (Emergency Response: Liberty County). By adding Harbor to a server or interacting with its commands, you agree to these Terms on behalf of yourself and, if applicable, the server you administer.

1. Description of the Service

Harbor provides Discord moderation tools, live ER:LC server data (join/leave and kill logs, player counts), and staff-management features (duty logging, applications) to servers that add the bot. Features may change, expand, or be removed at any time as Harbor is developed.

2. Eligibility

You must have a Discord account in good standing to use Harbor, and you must comply with Discord's own Terms of Service and Community Guidelines at all times. If you administer a server, you're responsible for configuring Harbor's permissions appropriately for that server.

3. Acceptable Use

You agree not to use Harbor to violate any law, harass or abuse others, circumvent Discord or ER:LC's own rules, attempt to exploit, reverse-engineer, or overload the Service, or use it to collect data on members beyond what Harbor's documented features provide.

4. Server Owner & Staff Responsibilities

Moderation actions taken through Harbor (warns, mutes, bans, and similar) are initiated by your server's own staff. Harbor logs and facilitates these actions but does not review or approve them - responsibility for moderation decisions rests with the server and the staff member who issued the action.

5. Availability & Changes

Harbor is provided free of charge on a best-effort basis. We don't guarantee uninterrupted availability, and features, commands, or limits may change as the Service evolves. Current uptime and incident history are posted on the Status page.

6. Termination

We may suspend or remove Harbor's access to a server, or restrict a user's ability to use certain features, if we reasonably believe these Terms have been violated. You may remove Harbor from your server at any time through Discord's own server settings.

7. Disclaimer of Warranties

Harbor is provided "as is" and "as available," without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement.

8. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Harbor's operators are not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of, or inability to use, the Service.

9. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Continued use of Harbor after an update constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
